They have removed the allowances for sporting equipment. They are gone from one of the best airlines to one of the worst for taking sporting equipment with you. Definitely not good.

Before you could take skis on with a maximum charge of equivalent of 3kgs. Now it seems they will charge anything above your allowance + USD75 as an outsize charge. Not great at all. Lots of people carry skis around - this now makes Cathay Pacific one of the worst airlines when travelling with this kind of equipment.
