I've been following various threads on AA promotions, lounge access, etc., and get the feeling that AAgents are very uninformed and confused, what with giving different answers all the time.

So a question to those of you who fly both AA and UA frequently: how are the UA agents in this regard? Any better than AA? This could be an important consideration when choosing between the two airlines, especially since the programs seem to be quite similar, and in my case, so are the routes (actually, UA has more SFO-ORD flights, which is my primary market).
