I was told if i change it before i fly out its £150, if i change once i have flown out i can ring emirates and they will charge £75.
but i dnt want to really leave it until then, rather have it changed before i leave the uk

Afraid your skywards miles won't be of any help in this situation. You are still entitled to the free stopover but you would have to pay the 75 quid to change your travel dates. I'm not sure why your agent is charging you 150 when it should only be 75. Check your ticket fare conditions
