I figure if I'm unlucky enough to get chosen for the full-body scanner, I also don't want my genitals grabbed. I have a very strong aversion to having strangers touch my body.

So my question is, am I free to just collect my things, put my shoes back on, and leave the airport? Can I just say, "Fine, I won't fly today."? I'd rent a car and drive two days if I have to, in order to avoid the trauma of being seen naked or being touched inappropriately.

But am I indeed free to go when I'm in the middle of the airport security process?
