Let's share some of our stories behind our love for JAL Below is my story.

I like almost everything from Japan (one big exception is ANA ) so I very "naturally" like the flag carrier of Japan too. But my soul was sold to JAL when the CA gave me the free model planes on my first flight from Hong Kong to Osaka with my grandparents.

After that trip JAL and I grew apart a bit for over a decade and I even flew on the darkside on one of my family trips But I "reunited" with JAL after I moved to the US. I didn't have a FFP (yea...I can't believe I have been missing all these miles before) and when I called a travel agency, they recommended JAL and it was within my price range unlike CX. And I got hooked once again...Absolutely love the attention to details and polite (some people might say robotic) customer service.

One incident I always bring up about customer service is my friend and I were flying on JAL, she dropped her in-flight snack when she's doing the in-flight exercises shown on the main screen. She asked for another one and the CA came by to apologize (even though they did nothing wrong, only my friend being stupid and tried to eat and exercise at the same time ) She said she will go check for her and then brought back another snack...

Now that I think about it, I am glad that I didn't sign up for Asia Miles (cuz I got confused by all the MPC crap) and missed out all the miles on my first HKG-LAX flight.

My Dec trip will mark my 10th anniversary on JAL transpacific trips and the best way to celebrate it is to gather with a bunch of JAL flyers in Hokkai-DO
