  1. Because instead of getting into HNL at 8 pm I was able to get in at 11:30 am and not have to pay anything out of pocket.
  2. I once booked a trip and forgot I had to be back before my return flight landed. Rather than pay the fee to change my reservation, I did the free same day change and got on an earlier flight and made it home in time.
  3. I was flying LAX-DEN-ANC in the afternoon and noticed that there was an International 777 leaving LAX that morning to DEN. I was able to fly to DEN in C and also have lunch with my cousin who lives near the airport.
