Deadheading F/A comfort in F or Plat comfort
I have been on a plane every day since Jan 5. Flew AA First paid. Coming from ORD to DFW today on #2317 I used segments and was seated in 5B, the last row in F on a MD-80. There is a thin 1/2 curtain seperating coach from F. There was a loud crying baby behind me in coach so I asked the FA if there was another seat in F. No, but she would serve me in coach if it bothered me. I waited until after the meal service and plugged in my laptop to try to drown out the baby noise. TWA plane-had nonworking power ports and my battery was at 5%. The man in 5A was a FA deadheading. I went to the restroom and saw not one but two FAs (in uniform) in the bulkhead row enjoying their quiet ride. I asked the FA and she said to complain to passenger services that it was their fault that employees had better seats. I told her (politely) I was going to coach and I would complain to every AA Dept including her supervisor. I was halfway thru coach when she came and told me one of the employees would trade. I had moved by that time and declined. I flew the rest of the trip in coach.
I feel AA should credit the segment upgrades back to my account and I would like to know if this is an AA policy or a "brother-in-law" between FAs. Where should I send my complaint and what should I expect?
I really think this is a poor way to treat any passenger much less an AA Plat..
