Clear 4G Officially comes to New York City Today
I could not figure out what all the Clear trucks were doing around the ice skating rink they are still trying to finish off (the little village is behind schedule) this morning, then realized it is November 1, and it is the official launch of 4G in New York.
Granted 4G has been available for a while dot dot dot
So if you are in the area, free hot chocolate, free skate rentals, etc today. I would guess there is some type of coupon or promo too, they were unloading tons of glossy marketing brochure boxes, but I could not see what was in them other than the sample glossy taped to the boxes
Today Clearwire, a company that specializes in 4G Internet services and mobile devices, will officially be rolling out its 4G CLEAR wireless Internet services in Manhattan. To celebrate the occasion, the company is hosting a launch event at Bryant Park at 11 a.m. that will include an ethernet cable cutting ceremony, free ice skate rentals and hot chocolate.
Clearwire will also be demoing its 4G devices and services at a lounge that will be set up at the park.
