As an Ambassador I had one paid night river view with club access, followed by two paid nights on a 2 for 1 for which an ordinary room was the only category available for purchase. Not only was there no room upgrade at checkin, but the agent was clear we would have to move from the river view to the ordinary room after the first night.
This is surprising - I always book the cheapest room and always get at least river view upgrade (sometimes even a corner jr suite) As an AMB they shouldn't have make you move to regular room. Club access has never been part of the Amb privilege here, but the front desk will offer a very good rate (30-40€)/night) to the very good club.
