Why not look at doing MKE-ORD-SFO-SEA-SFO-LAX-PHX-DFW?
That's an awesome routing, though I think United might notice the white-out on my boarding pass and the scribbled-in 'T' for DTW. :-P

All the MKE-ORD-DTW flights seem too be crazy expensive, but I've found a few continental routes ORD-EWR-DTW which are priced fairly well. I think I'll have to put up with clocking miles on non-UA metal until the end of the year.

The ORD-CLT/IAH-DTW flights are also super expensive right now. I guess that's the rub with last minute planning.

Any thoughts on doing a MR out of DTW over the weekend? Are there any classically good destinations from DTW?

Thanks!
