A couple of comments from the masslive.com website, one of which shows why people are putting up with this (the first one)

Given the fact that explosives were found just a few days ago, its good to hear that our local airport chose to address the suspicious item. I would certainly feel better boarding an airport knowing that security issues are being addressed.

Followed up by somebody who added a bit of common sense to the discussion

It would be nice to think that security issues are being addressed.
It would seem, however, that snow globes are being addressed.

The problem with any instance like this is the public I believe if far and above on board with anything for security. Evacuate a terminal because somebody brought home a snow globe, not a problem, it's keeping all of us safe.

And just to save another set of complaints about the source of the post, the above two comments are from the comment thread located at

http://www.masslive.com/news/index.s...cuation_a.html

specifically the first one a poster identified as locallady3 who posted at 6:06 and 6:10 this evening, and the second one posted by a poster who identified themselves as alciere at 6:51 PM. I would assume those times are Eastern. They are located at the bottom of the page linked above.
