Given that you are doing no more flying in 2004, and primarily fly with UA/WN - is it worth doing the plat challenge at all? After all, as far as I know you can only do the challenge once (at least only once within a few years), and therefore if you will get no benefit from it what is the point when you may wish to do it (and gain benefit from it) in future?
