For various reasons, I would always fly an MD-80 over an A320, including reliability, safety, and other reasons. If its not Boeing (or McD), I'm not going. I have more than a passing interest in aircraft safety.

Second, I prefer AA over UA and DL for several reasons that are beyond the scope of this posting.

Third, I would rather fly on an MD-80 than a 767 on most domestic flights since they are much quicker in boarding.

Fourth, IFE is not important to me. To the extent it is important to others, MD-80's have powerports. A320 and 764's do not.
