Exactly my point: JNB was higher priority than JFK, LAX, SIN, etc. ... by "token" I meant the frequency (once or twice weekly, compared to daily for Tokyo). NRT is interesting as ICN gets none (despite the Star connection).

For F/J travel miners are much more likely customers than manufacturing companies these days Maybe the real problem is QF's SYD, SIN and LHR hub strategy. LH was in dire straights a decade ago and has improved so much, in every respect ... now looks to be doing everything right these days. So looking at their A380 deployment would be cheap training in how to run a good airline.
