I think there's one exception to the "onboard coffee is swill" consensus. SQ in business has this wonderful Kenyan coffee that even using their onboard water tastes pretty darn good. When flying Y, I'm about 50% in getting them to send a cup back for me to drink. Their regular stuff is just as bad as everyone else's.
