Officially, RA's are members of the Ambassador program with status being Royal Ambassador (other status levels are Gold Ambassador and Platinum Ambassador).
If you book one of the 3 room categories, you should still be entitiled to a 1-level category upgrade. As several posters have noted, there is no such thing as a 2-level upgrade for RA's. When booking a lower room type, we are entitled to one of the following 3 room types:
Executive room; Club room; or Suite (as defined by the hotel and includes Jr. Suites)
