I appreciate your interest in XCom Global, and I would like to directly address your comment below as the president of the company.
I realize that that $800 fee for lost or damaged equipment is high, but the cost to us as a company is not just for the equipment. We have carriers to contact, old SIMs to deactivate, new SIMs to order, etc... There is a lot of work involved with lost equipment.
Finally, we have a very good track record to date with no lost equipment, so we have not yet had to charge any customer for this fee.

I called XCom today and they told me that they no longer do SIM only rentals. I expressed my doubts about the rental because of their wildly inflated replacement equipment costs.
