Dangerous nightlife? Moscow nightlife is great from my experience as long as one doesn't do anything stupid one will be fine.
I've stayed at all six IHG hotels in Moscow and also recommend the HI Sokolniki - closest hotel to the metro, decent rooms, and only 15k points for redemption compared to most others which are 25k points.
If you are not going to use the metro (which is among the best metro systems in the world), another IHG hotel closer to where you want to be might be better.
Moscow traffic is brutal though - so using the metro (which is cheap) is highly recommended!
However the CP is nicer than HI Sokolniki though, but it is quite far in terms of walking distance from a metro - however as it is next to the river and if you get a high floor with a view of the river you will get an amazing view of the Radisson Royal Hotel Moscow - especially at night time all lit up!
