I was traveling in Y from SCL to MIA with 4 other family members (3 of us are PLT) and while we waited at the AC we were called up and advised that we were being upgraded to J, we asked about the other 2 family memebrs and were told that it wasn't possible. The 3 of us that were upgraded boarded the aircraft with at the begining and took our seats. A few minutes later we were surprised to see that the other 2 family members had been upgraded while boarding and we all got to sit together. Thanks AA!
