IC Grand and Coex tax exemption

I was searching for master thread of IC's in Seoul, but I couldn't find one so I started new thread.

For people who don't know already, you can get tax exemption of your hotel bills in IC Grand and Coex with your passport.

I think you need to ask at the time of check-in, not check-out.

About 95% of my stay, I could get tax exemption by having foreign passport.

5%, person at check-in desk didn't know, too tired to ask or forgot to ask.

Also some other hotels like Park Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton and others.

I don't think it's must-thing to offer tax exemption, but I'm sure you can talk out of it.
After all, countries should have tax exemption to foreigners since we don't live there. Like in Europe, you can get tax refund with receipt at the airport.

BUT Korean V.A.T also include service charge which will not be exempt, only tax portion.
