Amazingly I've never had the IFE break down at all in the past 18-months of heavy travel on EK.

I did have a J seat completely have a heart attack the other day (I was op-upped) so I didn't think it warranted a formal complaint as it was a MEL-SIN flight (early evening). It wouldn't recline at all, and multiple staff members came over, pulled up the seat cushion (all the reset buttons and manual op controls are under your butt) and tried everything (from cursing in Arabic to bashing the controls).

I decided to drink heavily to compensate. Seemed to work out fine...
