I have yet to travel on a new MD-88 (M8R), but I've seen a few pictures and here's what I know:
- 16F/133Y for a total of 149 seats
- Same coach seats
- No galley at 2L
- Expanded galley in front
- The description of the first class seats seems accurate.
- Cloth divider (as described above) in between F and Y

I'm not sure about the changes (if any) with the overhead bins.

I think only 1 has been converted so far, and I believe it's ship 9020.
