Has anybody ever booked a package deal through ba.com?

This new sale (12 days only so they say!) has some really good deals and I want to spend some money (again) but just wondered if you have to pay the full balance up front, or do you put a deposit down and then the balance nearer the time?

Are the flight and hotel options really good value or does it just seem that way? And 5000 bonus miles is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!
