First FT post. Go me.
I've been trying to read as much as I can about MRs in the forums, but I also have a job, so expect a few n00b mistakes.


I'm posting in the hopes that someone might help me find a way to squeeze all the miles possible out of a last-minute set of trips that were sprung on me.

My status:
Current EQM: 35,340
Premier Exec: 14,660 needed


I'm based out of CHI with a car, so ORD/MDW/MKE are reasonable origins for me. I can depart for DTW anytime on Sun, Oct 31.

I need to arrive in DTW sometime Monday morning (Nov 1) or Sun, and I can leave DTW anytime Fri (Nov 5) after 5-ish or Sat.

I will be making this exact same trip again the week after. Ideally over the weekend I would end up back in ORD, but if I have to do a DTW-XXX-DTW run, I'm ok with that too.

It's a business trip, so ppm doesn't have to be amazing, but overall cost should probably be <$400.


Right now I'm finding Continental flights ORD-EWR-DTW on Sunday using ITA for around $292ai. $0.121 per mile - 2404 miles. That might be a good starting point, but UA metal would be preferred.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Let me know if you need any more info, or if I should do some more footwork.
