There was another bloke waiting in the 'queue' when we pushed the room service trolley back outside after we'd eaten.
And please understand, I wasn't eavesdropping. The door was seriously deficient. When their phone rang it sounded like it was in my room. When two 'ladies' had a conversation about a friend starting her own escort agency they might as well have been standing right next to me. When a bloke turned up and said "you have your own room? Right, put your dress on and go there" it was clearly audible over the noise coming from the TV infront of me (which admittedly wasn't on loudly as we didn't want to disturb the baby).
And tell me this - do Hyatt usually make a point of calling up non-status guests at 8pm (when most would probably be out for dinner) just to check all is OK with the room???
I certainly haven't got an axe to grind with Hyatt - had this happened in any hotel i'd be complaining about it. Had the soundproofing been vaguely decent and slow returns fitted to the doors, i'd have been completely oblivious.
Since you saw and heard all of this in detail, and it was clear what was going on, then if you feel strongly about it maybe you should bring this matter to the attention of Hyatt Consumer Affairs. I am sure you can get the email address of someone there from the Hyatt website, or by calling the US customer service number.
