Curiously, someone claiming to be from regency club reception called me at about 8pm in the suite just to check everything was OK. Not sure if this is standard, but I explained my concerns that there were a lot of people in and out of the next room (the door banged loudly) & they said they'd investigate. 5 mins later the phone rang in the next room and that was the end of it.

Someone then went back into the room about 10pm to have a shower and then left. The lights were on all night, so there wasn't anyone sleeping in there.

What bothers me is that this was something of an inside job, so little point in voicing my concerns directly to the hotel.

Needless to say, I won't be rushing back!
