BTW, I would rather go in SQ space bed than in EK's C seat. BTW, none of your posts suggests that you ever flew on EK, so on what do you base your claim that EK's seat is better? On those pictures you posted?
+1.
I mean (OP) vote with your feet. If you don't like what SQ is offering on that route for that price then look for other options as you suggested. I also think SQ is overdoing it pricing wise in general on many routes and all classses. I mean EK F for less would be a no brainer in my book and if you do that who cares for a status match other then getting a few extra status miles. You would be in F already so where else do you want to go? Also you will achieve status rather quickly anyways if you fly that route a few times a year.
The EK C product on that route is not superior to the SQ C product in my book but then tastes differ and I'm not even sure you have sat in that EK seat already. I prefer Changi as a transit point over some night stop in DXB, but again is a personal choice. Lastly, the SQ 772ER with Spacebed only flies on the AMS-SIN-AMS leg with SQs new regional biz class (fully flat but still angled) on A330 on SIN-BNE-SIN in a 2-2-2 layout. So maybe some more research will help.
