Most of my dom business lounge visits have been to MEL thru winter, where for breakfast there has been ham & cheese croissants, and hot breakfast items like eggs bacon sausages. I might have seen hot croissants once or twice in SYD. Most of the time, it's oakmeal and cereal. Hot items are, as you mentioned, pastries and pikelets.
I think SYD have been missing out!!!
