Gogo is the same way, if you don't have one of their subscription plans. I'm holding out hope for a monthly or yearly pass. Offering A-listers a discount would be great.
On my DL flight a couple weeks ago it was possible to buy a day-pass on gogo for connecting itineraries. It was a few dollars more than the single flight and less than two flights.
