Perhaps I didn't make it clear in my original post: I don't object if BA want to make a fuss of highly valued passengers by giving them priority clearance and boarding. It might be better, though, to take them through more discreetly, out of sight of the rest of us patiently shuffling one step at a time. But that's good public relations, and we all know what little priority our Willie gives to that.
But I DO mind the rudeness, indeed, the sheer arrogance, of crashing in front of people without a word of explanation or even an apologetic smile.
An earlier poster, trumpeting the company line, says if BA want to give chosen passengers this privilege for whatever reason, it shouldn't be up for debate. Well, I'd debate that lofty view for a start, but in fact all I was saying was that it would have been nice, and well-mannered, for the redcoat to have uttered a polite 'Excuse me'. Or am I just old fashioned?
