Those are two different aircraft. What I'm talking about is SQ's C on the 777-300ER (not the 200). You also posted a pic of EK's 300ER - which is the one I'm comparing here. This one has 4 seats across on SQ compared to 7 on EK even though it's the exact same metal.

As you mentioned though, if you're not happy with the spacebed then you should either fly via a different city or go with another airline.
