So the net effect has been that AC receives less revenue from me by a few thousand a year. What I don't know is whether that loss of revenue has been offset by sales of the J seats. What I have observed, as recently as last week, are numerous empty J seats that I could have been sitting in (and paying for) if the upgrade premium had been reasonable.

Hence, I also have a mittful of unused certs this year.
