Thursday evening I put a flight on hold. Friday evening I go back to purchase the flight and I received a message that the fare has increased and would now be +$100.

Has anyone else encountered this before? I thought the whole purpose of the "hold" function was to hold a fare so you could purchase at that price within 24 hours.

Any suggestions on how to address it with AA (or am I just up a creek)?
