7Continents is absolutely correct. I tried to take the survey, but gave up at 73% completed. I stay in hotels about 125 nights per year. About 110 of those nights are business, the remainder are for fun. Choosing a work room is easy - how close, how much and do I get Marriott points. Choosing a vacation hotel requires more scrutiny. I wasn't sure which you wanted. After all, I'm a gay traveler on both types of trips. My expectations for a business trip hotel are quite different than my expectations for a vacation.
Perhaps you should work with a group of people who travel to come up with a workable point of view and list of questions.
Just a couple notes, though:
First - Thought I'd offer this, based on one of your questions...I've never ordered porn, or any movie, in a hotel room, but I ALWAYS check the adult listings to see if there are gay movies. It always amazes me which hotels don't offer gay porn and which ones do. Right or wrong, I form an opinion of gay acceptance based on this. In talking to friends who also travel for work, everyone admitted to doing this!
Second - When/if you rewrite the questions, you might want to ask some questions about the people answering to get a little context. (Maybe you did this at the end.) Not all gay people are the same. Someone like me - mid-forties, educated, financially secure, not a club-hopper, relationship oriented but not in a serious relationship now - would probably consider hotels differently than a mid-thirties, committed relationship with kids looking for a family vacation at the beach guy, or a mid-twenties, wanna-go-to-the-Circuit-party guy, or the get-to-know-the-new-girlfriend mid-twenties lesbian.
