What is your USD price?
I'll try to reconcile the breakeven USD price to the HKD cash price:
HKD cash price: $88,650
Each HKD$1 spending in USD on Citi earns 0.25 mile = $0.025. An effective rebate rate of 2.5%.
Breakeven USD price:
88,650 = usd_price x 7.91 (believe me, almost all HK banks bill at this rate (this is inclusive of bank 1.95%) x (1-0.025)
usd_price = 11,494.70
Postscript: wouldn't there be remittance fees for wire transfer that should be taken into account?
Hi
Sorry, these numbers are giving me a headache!
HK price of the item is HK$87,428, but the US$ price of the item is US$11,283. The company has pricing in HK$ and US$ and these are the prices listed.
In terms of wire transfer, they have the ability to make a wire transfer to a HK bank account in HK$.
