There's nothing really dramatic in that story, people really need to take a few minutes to try to understand what is and is not covered.
I'm always shocked when somebody has non refundable tickets they bought on their own, no insurance, sails in hurricane season, and gets all upset the ship has to change ports or arrive late because there's a huge storm where they should be going, and want the cruise line to pay them.
It just doesn't work that way.
