Wow, what an eye opener. Those slimy airlines are charging fees that they never tell you about or post on their websites for everyone to see. What's that you say? They do post them, so you ticket with them knowing the fees? And they're all optional/based on your requests/needs? Oh. Never mind...

Because it's a free market and companies are free to structure their revenue as they see fit, as long as it's legal. I have no idea what charging for bags, extra leg room, food, etc., etc., have to do with fuel costs. There is no fuel surcharge listed in the article.

I, for one, have no interest in government mandates of free bags.
