Thanks very much for all the info. To be honest, in my case Im not actually looking for a rock bottom price but rather convenience in terms of getting it once Im on the ground at JFK, or as soon as I get into Manhattan... quick activation, no hassle recharge, etc.

Im not too keen on super long validity and the other details (which are important), but at this time my only other worry is if some of the 3rd party providers (which are cheaper) will be able to properly roam with the big 2 carriers - which I understand are AT&T and TMobile.
