This changed about 2 or 3 years ago; previously a Flying Blue gold card would indeed get you into the Crown Lounge at AMS when flying on an EI coded flight; now, it has to be booked as a KL codeshare, or you won't be granted access.

I fly from AMS to Ireland quite a lot with EI, this change was a big disappointment for me.
