well smartwings and easyjet are canceling flights as a result of french strikes - I would more likely watched situation in France.

I think you don't need to be afraid of flight cancellation neither on easyjet nor smartwings, but I would use easyjet as smartwings route is sometimes operated by TravelService (owner of smartwings) - charter flights, so punctuality is not ensured.
