I don't know of another resort where I get quite the feeling of leaving the major bustle and awful racing or kluged traffic of DC and Baltimore, and stepping down, down, down through the suburbs, then the forest and broad-fields farm country, and the historical colonial, revolutionary and 1812 water towns. And then turning up at this resort, whose waters make me think of one word: "Tranquil". Works for me. ^
(One does want to head back before or after Sunday afternoon, though.)
