That particular "downgrade" is a matter of perspective, although I believe that both the 757/75L have fewer seats than the 763 in Y so I'm not sure how that reduced the inventory. In any case, this is a perfect example why I'll always pay the $50 CFC fee (even as an EXP) if it's available and I want to be on a different flight. Regardless of how wide open a flight is 12hrs out, you never know what's going to happen to close up inventory prior to departure (downguage, weather, another cancellation, etc.).
