DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jefferson City {US-MO}
I couldn't find a mention of the property, so in case anyone needs info thought I'd post my impressions.
After a 10 minute walk from AMTRAK, I circled the block until it dawned on me that there is no "front door" - access to second floor lobby by elevator from parking garage only. Coffee stand and business center on that level as well.
Check-in was friendly; I was assigned the King room I'd booked, and given a voucher for breakfast. Being a circular tower, with the lounge/restaurant at the top (no, it doesn't revolve!), the rooms are a bit wedge-shaped, and rather small, though otherwise adequate.
I headed up to dinner, getting a window table. The architect put the bar/restaurant facing away from the downtown/Capitol, so there really isn't as much to see, especially at night. Service was very good; food a tad overpriced, though guests charging the tab to their rooms get 15% off (as per sign at check-in). Buffet breakfast in the same restaurant was okay; service very attentive. I was a bit dismayed that the omlette stand was vacant, so I scooped some eggs (assuming there were no omlettes that day), only to have the guy re-appear shortly thereafter.
There was a strange thing about the business center ... I couldn't get my key to work at all; but the guy at the desk got it on the first try. While I was surfing, another guest had the exact same experience.
