Depending on how fast you walk, this should take only 5-10 minutes. Make sure you check the aa.com before you leave and the monitors when you arrive at DFW, there are frequently gate changes. Don't consider the TrAAin, unless you have to get from something like A9 to C39. Check the terminal map on aa.com and print a copy, rather than take a copy of American Way.
