I'm going to Europe next March for 3 weeks, probably Rome and Spain. I plan to take ONE pair of shoes: Merrell Moltons. They look good and are just beefy enough for lots of walking. Two years ago, I went to Paris and Barcelona with a pair of black Steve Madden athletic looking things. They were great for home or work, but too thin for all day walking on mixed terrain.

I'm doing the one-pair option to reduce my packing load. I'll probably take some cheap slippers for use on the plane and at the apartments we'll be renting.

Seriously considering the Red Oxx Skytrain.
