Just ask for the discount.
I have been to a couple of restaurants (those appear in the list that
mia posted above), without knowing there was discount. The waiter asked me if I had an Amex Platinum card when I asked for the check. ^ I said I didn't but I had a Centurion card with me. He told me the Centurion card would work too!^^
So you don't really have to ask. The restaurants would see this as a chance to promote their business and hope that you will return.
