I now have only the night of the Dec 8th, from 7 pm to 11 am on the 9th.

What locations are about 2,182 miles from Seattle with red-eyes?
Thanks again - I wish I had more time and money for this, but I don't....Unless my son and i could fly somewhere cheap from Baltimore when we are there for his surgery in November (6th to 26th) - weekend trips with a kid on crutches? Why not..... weekend of the 20th/21st?
I think your expectations might be a little unrealistic. There aren't many red-eyes out of SEA, and for the ones that do exist, I'm pretty sure it will be nigh impossible to get there and back in the specific 16 hours you are available.
I took a stab and guessed that ATL might be enough miles. Strangely, SEA-ATL-SEA is *exactly* 4364 miles according to milecalc, but in a bizarre, sadistic twist, AS only credits 2181 miles each way, which would leave you 2 (!) miles short. However, the flights don't come close to fitting in your schedule anyway.
The good news is that the first 2 weeks of December are low travel periods, so fares will be good. I'm guessing the best you'll be able to do is a west coast run:
08Dec AS492 SEA-SAN 8:05P-10:43P
09Dec AS493 SAN-SEA 6:30A-9:33A
Total cost: $222.40
Total miles: 2100
If you are available at 6P on the 8th and until noon on the 9th, you could add a hop to Portland for some extra miles:
08Dec QX2055 SEA-PDX 6:30P-7:15P
08Dec AS574 PDX-SAN 8:10P-10:29P
09Dec AS573 SAN-PDX 6:40A-9:19A
09Dec QX2018 PDX-SEA 11:30A-12:18P
Total cost: $243.80
Total miles: 2866
Maybe you can come up with another 1500 AS miles on another day?
You can find the
AS Route Map online, pair it up with
MileCalc to get an idea of the mileage between cities.
