Will be traveling with my 9 month old on a transcon and need suggestions for toys. I found some threads but they were old (2005) and for older children and toddlers. I have gleaned that 1) NEW toys are good for the novelty factor and 2) don't bring anything noisey (for obvious reasons).

I would like suggestions for specific toys and if you have a web link for purchase that would be great. not looking for expensive stuff though. Also, I'd like to hear your thoughts on if you consider something that rattles being a noisey toy. thank you!

p.s. any other tips on things you used during your trip that made your life so much easier cuz you had it, pls share.
