I thought one of the items of discussion involved climbing over 2 people to get to a window seat when other rows further back are unoccupied?

I'm of those who sometimes want to get off quick but...taking 7A over 7D or 8C isn't really a good move for quick exit. Window people are at the mercy of their seatmates (who may be annoyed because you needlessly crowded them) and those already in the aisle when it comes to exiting.

And it is well documented that very well-experienced WN fliers who want to maximize their odds of an empty middle go to Secret FC...not window seats towards the front.
