incase anyone cares, when I boarded the check in clerk did not ask any questions whatsoever BUT the gate agent stopped me at boarding and asked for a visa or onward ticket...how strange is that. After debating a bit with him he consulted another guy who let me through...yikes! That was close and very bizzare. Entry into Turkey is not even an issue, they just ask your money and send you in!! LOL!
